Paper Airplane - Pair of Spitfires vs. pair of Me-109E
During some business trip I found some time to check how is to play two planes against two planes. I played myself because I am looking for mechanism for single and multi player mode.
So I have table (not so big), six position markers. German start from Altitude 6 and position 3 as start point. British start from position 6 from Altitude 3. Sun was located on position 4. German decide to fly straight. I used Fly Console with S (Straight) markers and move plane or straight or with small traverse left or right follow S marker on Fly Console.
And picked Damage Token was Shoot Down. So there is two against one now...

Pair of Spitfires decided to fly in Right Traverse (TR mark). So far they can't change altitude during L/R Traverse but I am thinking about that option so next time planes will be able to dive or claim up with some traverse. One extra maneuver.
First move of Spitfire done. Without changing altitude.
Second Spitfire flew straight and did one Altitude UP.
Here you can see how they move Straight UP with Altitude change from 3 to 4.
German start another Movement Phase and they also try to fly in Traverse
How you fly in traverse you can see below
Left Traverse (LT) for ME-109E
Spitfire trying to fly in traverse and attack with Sun behind
Second Spitfire trying to follow the Leader
German trying to catch them before they get to behind sun position
Good idea was to create rule where before move dice will decide who start first and luck Spitfire was first and attack his first target.
And damage was Left Rudder (Me-109 can't turn left from that moment).
ME-109 decide to climb two Altitudes from 4 to 6 and fly above Spitfire
But the second ME-109 moved first (Turn Right) and found good position to fire back
And also Meser hit Spitfire rudder. In next game I am going to remove that damage because it is not so good for player and create too much issues, especially if two of them has similar malfunction.
Even in situation where he can't turn left he can turn right and attack his opponent.
And after checking range...
Spitfire missed and forced Meser to fly straight.
Damage tokens has mostly one or two moves which must be performed by player. I am going to replace tokens with cards.

So ME-109 decide to run away Straight per order on token.
With small left traverse Meser run away.
During game German ME-109E was manage to have a good position to attack Spitfire
But even with damage rudder second Spitfire was able to track down Meser and attack
And Damage Token forced German pilot to fly Straight
And German plane had to left game field, which mean similar to shoot down. So we have one against one at very end of game. Since in Battle of England they could fight 15 minutes due of lack of fuel... that plane can't return.
And since both planes had similar damage I decide to finish game. I think that Damage Token with L/R rudder will be replaced to some Counter Move token. More moves when opponent picked Missed Shoot will add some element of surprise.
Here you can see Flight Console for Spitfire with setting to perform maneuver - Fly Straight (S) or UP/Down
To compare how ME-109 can turn vs. Spitfire you can see picture before maneuver.
Spitfire can make faster turn right vs. ME-109
Left turn can be done better by Me-109
Which allow Meser to run away...
Here you can see Left Traverse
Right Traverse. I am going to calculate new values and create new Fly Console to add more options to perform deep turn and some S-Split....
