Paper Tanks Battle - PHASE ONE OF GAME - MOVEMENT
During my vacation we took "small" set to hotel and I was able to play with my son and check how he understand strategy and game rules...
So I have blanket...some buildings, trees, road. Small village with destroyed buildings.
On one corner we have German Troops with two Panther tanks, one T-34/76 - German version, one Tiger tank, one Stug III tank and two Panzer IV.
On Russian side I have three T-34/76 tanks, two T-34/85 tanks, one SU-100 and one Sherman with 76mm canon.
Each tank is mounted on plate with two colored lines (blue/black...which represent forward move and red line - which represent move backward)...
Game contains Phases: Phase I is movement. We used dice (classic one) - that person who pick more points - starts....
So if German starts...we move tanks per some strategy....we can move them all or few only - when we are done - and here is interesting point - Russian player can react with his tanks and plan move per Germans. So it is nice to be the second....hahahaha....
HOW THEY MOVE
I am using a wooden stick.... select beginning of mount plate (left or right side where blue/black line starts) and move tank forward any direction or turn as standard tank (to turn select middle part where red and blue/black lines join together).
King Tiger move One Mount plate on terrain and one and half on road. Use stick as a reference point.
When you need to turn your tank use center point of mount plate and turn tank left or right side. Turn must be done before move and it is not counted as a part of moving, Simple turn and drive that direction.
T-34/76 and T-34/85 move on terrain one mount plate blue/black line - when they reach road - speed rise to two mount plates - so they are faster, but on road only.
If you want to turn tank always select middle point (when red line start on the middle...)
Panther - one on terrain / two on road
Stug and P.IV - one and a half on road / one on terrain
Tiger I tank - one and half on road / one on terrain
T-34 and Su-100 - two on road / one terrain
Sherman - one and half on road / one on terrain.
King Tiger - one on road / one on terrain.
SU-152 - one on road / one on terrain
KW-1 - one and half on road / one on terrain.
IS-2 - one and a half on road / one on terrain.
Revers - all tanks has red lines on each side of Mount Plate for reverse moving.
I did some modification to their speed level but each who build that game can adjust speed per their selection.
PHASE I will be finished when both sided move their tanks up to moment when one (or both) sides will start use Aiming Sticks and find first target. From that moment we start PHASE 2 - Target Selection (Aiming).
ONE PLATE - each side of plate has blue/black line - and that is your reference line.
